Bio
I am a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus in ceramics. I create sculptural pieces that gravitate toward abstract, repetitive geometric forms, often incorporating found or everyday objects.
My process begins with creating rectangles in various sizes. Considering scale, negative space, and balance, I intuitively arrange them to discover how they best interact, allowing the work to unfold naturally. As patterns emerge during this process, I find myself developing and adhering to a set of self-imposed rules. I'm drawn to the tension between rigid lines and geometry contrasted with organic, soft natural imperfections.
I live and work in Philadelphia, PA. When I'm not in the clay studio, I run a small business selling vintage formal gowns and dresses.
